Pelvic floor conditions generally fall into 2 categories: overactive pelvic floor muscles or under active pelvic floor muscles.
On your first visit to Beyond Therapy and Wellness, our Doctor of Physical Therapy in Bedford, TX will spend time with you listening and evaluating your history, symptoms, body mechanics, and pelvic floor. An internal pelvic exam is performed for most adult patients to determine the strength, coordination, power and tenderness/tone of the muscles. This will allow us to curate the optimal treatment plan for you.
